May 2010 - Quote from Matlock - "Now that I'm out of the MTC P-days are actually fun now!  Today we went to a Taoist shrine and to the Zoo.  The shrine was the craziest thing ever.  They had a huge temple thing and it was all crazy colors.  They had 4 statues for the God of North, East, etc.  One had 6 arms, 3 heads and looked crazy.  We couldn't take pictures of that part though."

May 2010 - Grocery shopping has taken on a whole new meaning for him! - Quotes from his letter - "The place we buy our groceries from is right next to this produce place.  Sorry, I mean live produce - they have cages outside with ducks and chickens.  The have some interesting food.  I had squid jerky this last week.  Pretty good.  My companion wouldn't eat it though."

May 2010 - Matlock found some of the English in print to be very interesting.  Quote from Matlock "They have graffiti here - but it's written in Japanese - pretty cool."  (Only an English speaker would be interested in Japanese grafitti!)
